An estimated 700,000,000 ink and toner cartridges are dumped in landfills each year, creating an ecological hazard that is not only easily preventable, but by addressing this issue we can build new jobs in the recycling sector, and help provide scholarships for our youth. The Hero Appreciation Network, through the Ink for Education program, is turning used ink and toner cartridges into real scholarship dollars, and was able to give away more than $100,000.00 in scholarships in 2013 alone.
Veteran Technology Solutions has committed to supporting the students efforts to find more people to recycle, and has comimtted to donate 40% of the net profits realized on the sale of any ink or toner cartridge to Ink for Education program customers right back into the program. This gives students an even greater opportunity to succeed, and is just one more way we feel we can help to give back to our local community... and don't forget another 5% will still go to the Wounded Warrior Project to help our disabled veterans coming back from overseas.
By simply working together to ethically source and recycle used ink and toner cartridges, we can help thousands of students to reach their goals through college, trade, and technical training, and create a significant positive impact to the environment.
